As some of you may know, to our grandchildren, we’re known as Grandma and Koro.
When we first started traveling, we wrote an email to our grandchildren each evening with a little story about what we did that day. By the end of the trip, these daily emails had become so popular that we spent more time adding email addresses than writing the email itself.
For our Second Great Adventure we distributed our stories using an online travel diary app. This made the daily distribution easier, however we were frustrated by the software's limitations for incorporating photographs.
This time, we have gone all out and created our website. To showcase our journeys we chose to use Rocketspark, a beautiful website creation platform founded in our hometown of Cambridge, New Zealand.
Buzzy Bee
We simply couldn't have come this far without our loyal mate, Buzzy Bee. He's been an integral part of our family for over 18 years!
Initially, Buzzy Bee was there to give cuddles to our grandchildren and to bravely chase away any spooky monsters hiding in the wardrobe. Nowadays, he plays a crucial role in ensuring Grandma & Koro's safety and fuels our grandchildren's passion to explore every corner of the world.
Buzzy Bee does have a cheeky side, though. He's quite the charmer, especially with the ladies, and there's nothing he enjoys more than unwinding with a cold beer after a busy day. His adventures and mischievous acts bring a unique spark to our travel stories, making every tale more engaging and full of life.
